A promise of freedom is revealed in dance. The body emancipates itself through the movement of external narrowing and compulsion. He shows and resist, he extends his scope of action. One speaks of "dancing out of line", Marx spoke of "turn coditions to dance". Such a liberating movement is mostly violent. Sometimes you even direct the violence against yourself. The emancipation from constraint and compulsion is realized in a violent movement. This has to be understood in a social sense. In art, this initially takes place formally, be it with a painted surface or the drawn line, that breaks out in an uncontrolled manner, or with a sequence of steps that leads to leaving a room.
