Artist Talk

05.10.2025
16:30h

Noa Gur and Susanne Keichel
in conversation with Mira Anneli Naß

In the exhibition “Fear of the Agenda” ("Angst vor der Tagesordnung"), interdisciplinary artist Noa Gur (Tel Aviv/Berlin) and photo artist Susanne Keichel (Dresden) examine the Islamophobic murder of Egyptian pharmacist Marwa El-Sherbini in 2009 at the Dresden Regional Court. They bear witness to the time, reporting, and aftermath of the crime from very different perspectives.
In conversation with photo theorist and art historian Mira Anneli Naß (Bremen), they will discuss their approaches and chosen artistic means in detail for the first time. What challenges did they face then and now, and (how) do they succeed in creating a practice of solidarity and remembrance that bridges the gap to the present?

The talk will be held in German and partly in English,
the room is open from 3 pm and wheelchair accessible, entry is free

in cooperation with the Köfte Kosher Memorial Memorial at Marwa-El-Sherbini-Platz, Bremen
